Relation de Chasles : simplifier des sommes de vecteurs

Facile

\(A\), \(B\) et \(C\) sont trois points non alignés.

Exprimer, en fonction des vecteurs \(\overrightarrow{AB}\) et \(\overrightarrow{AC}\) seulement, les vecteurs suivants :

1) \(\vec{u} = 3\overrightarrow{AB} - 2\overrightarrow{AC} + \overrightarrow{CA}\) ;

2) \(\vec{v} = 2\overrightarrow{AB} - \overrightarrow{AC} + \overrightarrow{BC}\) ;

3) \(\vec{w} = -3\overrightarrow{CA} + 2\overrightarrow{CB}\).

Rappel : relation de Chasles

Pour tous points \(A\), \(B\) et \(C\) du plan :

\[\overrightarrow{AB} + \overrightarrow{BC} = \overrightarrow{AC}\]

On a aussi : \(\overrightarrow{BA} = -\overrightarrow{AB}\) et \(\overrightarrow{AA} = \vec{0}\).

Méthode : pour faire apparaître le point \(A\) dans le vecteur \(\overrightarrow{BC}\), on écrit \(\overrightarrow{BC} = \overrightarrow{BA} + \overrightarrow{AC}\).

1) Comme \(\overrightarrow{CA} = -\overrightarrow{AC}\) :

\[\begin{aligned} \vec{u} &= 3\overrightarrow{AB} - 2\overrightarrow{AC} - \overrightarrow{AC} \\ &= 3\overrightarrow{AB} - 3\overrightarrow{AC} \end{aligned}\]

2) D’après la relation de Chasles :

\[\overrightarrow{BC} = \overrightarrow{BA} + \overrightarrow{AC} = -\overrightarrow{AB} + \overrightarrow{AC}\]

Donc :

\[\begin{aligned} \vec{v} &= 2\overrightarrow{AB} - \overrightarrow{AC} - \overrightarrow{AB} + \overrightarrow{AC} \\ &= \overrightarrow{AB} \end{aligned}\]

3) On a \(-3\overrightarrow{CA} = 3\overrightarrow{AC}\) et :

\[\overrightarrow{CB} = \overrightarrow{CA} + \overrightarrow{AB} = \overrightarrow{AB} - \overrightarrow{AC}\]

Donc :

\[\begin{aligned} \vec{w} &= 3\overrightarrow{AC} + 2(\overrightarrow{AB} - \overrightarrow{AC}) \\ &= 3\overrightarrow{AC} + 2\overrightarrow{AB} - 2\overrightarrow{AC} \\ &= 2\overrightarrow{AB} + \overrightarrow{AC} \end{aligned}\]
